Guide to Safe and Responsible Use of the Internet for Adult Education Trainers 

The guide is divided into 3 main sections:

1. Introduction:

It will contain information about the project and the background and challenges that the project’s target groups are currently facing in the partner countries.

2. Internet Safety:

It will contain relevant information on diverse areas: Digital literacy, online communication, digital identity and footprints and privacy and security.This section also aims to offer a series of recommendations to help adult education trainers to reflect and better understand the emerging online risks for seniors and, thus, favor the educational task in responsible habits for the proper use of the Internet among them.

3. Practical Activities:

This section will contain dynamics and practical activities for trainers to use with seniors to promote digital safety. Each activity will present visual content and step by step instructions to facilitate the learning process and increase the motivation of the learners.

LMS PLATFORM

A user-friendly open-source Learning Management System (LMS) was developed in English, Spanish, and Greek to support cybersecurity training for seniors, complementing face-to-face courses. The platform served as the main dissemination tool, providing learning materials, project information, multimedia content, and links to social media.

It included four main sections: Home, showing the course overview and enrollment; Participants, displaying registered users and their roles; Settings, allowing course and platform administration; and More, offering a content bank with PPTs, videos, infographics, documents, quizzes, assignments, experiences, and good practices. Each course unit covered topics such as introduction to cybersecurity, information system security, good practices, communication and social networks, and basic network security recommendations. The platform featured a top-right corner with three flags to switch between English, Spanish, and Greek, ensuring easy navigation, visual consistency, and user engagement.

Dissemination Conference:

Inercia Digital, as hosting organisation, performed two dissemination events, that took place first 14th of October 2025 during the previous activity: (CYBERACY: training on cybersecurity literacy for seniors) and 27 of October 2025 both in Huelva, with the collaboration with National strategic partners that invited organizations related to the project topic to attend the conference These events consisted of a section of the conference and allowed participants to know more about the CYBERUP Project as well as inspire them. At the end of the presentations, a debate was performed among the participants for suggestions, questions and doubts. A total of 31 skateholders attended and after the second session, the event was published on Inercia Digital’s YouTube channel, which currently has 92 subscribers and was shared on social media to achieve extra visibility of the protection.

CYBERACY: training on cybersecurity literacy for seniorshis training

The training was held at Inercia Digital Training and Innovation center in Huelva from October 13th to 17th, 2025, focused on enhancing the cybersecurity literacy of seniors to help them recognize, prevent, and respond to online risks. Through a combination of theoretical content, practical exercises, and interactive activities tailored to 10 participants, 5 from cyprus and 5 from spain over 60 with low digital skills, the program covered five modules: introduction to cybersecurity, information systems security, good practices, safe communication and social network use, and final recommendations for secure internet use. A total of engaged in this 25-hour training, including several curtural visits an activities.
